Coby and Daniel are pleased to announce the safe and happy arrival of Broc Felstead. Broc was born at 2.50pm on 19 September 2006 at Tweed Heads District Hospital. Coby is now on maternity leave and is unavailable for the witnessing of documents until her return in 2007. | |

We are pleased to advise that as of Monday 5 June 2006 the Mermaid Beach office of Tien Nguyen Lawyers relocated and merged with the Nobby Beach office of Hughes Lawyers. Tien Nguyen, principal of Tien Nguyen Lawyers, will remain as Consultant to the firm to ensure a smooth and speedy transition. Tien has extensive experience in the areas of property and commercial transactions. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise. We believe that this merger will only add to the high level of service already provided to clients of both firms. | |
| 2nd Staff Conference/Retreat | |

After another busy year of operation the team at Hughes Lawyers again went on their annual retreat/conference. The venue chosen this year was Sea World, on the Gold Coast. We spent the night at the lovely Sea World Nara Resort and discussed ways in which we can better serve our clients and provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. The following day we all had a “huge” day enjoying the sights and thrills at Sea World. Though we all missed our Web Master who we must invite next year! Some pictures from the weekend are here. |

| Not only has Coby become our resident Justice of the Peace – available for signing any documents you may require – she is also now an expectant mum!!. We look forward to this new “little” addition to our team. | |
| We've Turned 1! | |

To celebrate our first year anniversary, the team recently enjoyed a conference/staff retreat at the fabulous Couran Cove Resort, South Stradbroke Island. This will now become a yearly event in which staff get together to discuss new ways to serve our valued clients better. Staff were encouraged to bring along family members so that after the conferencing a more enjoyable time could be had by all and to emphasise Hughes Lawyers’ commitment to building a strong work/family environment for all employees.
